On Sunday, March 9th, supporters of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children of Mercer County came together for a reception and performance of Cirkopolis presented by Cirque Eloize. The event, held at McCarter Theatre in Princeton, raised $47,000 to benefit abused and neglected children served by CASA. One hundred and fifty guests enjoyed delicious desserts and the interactive magic of Anthony Salazar during the pre-performance reception. They also bid on an array of silent auction items that included a week in Kennebunkport, Maine and an overnight stay at the Philadelphia Zoo. "As soon as the lights dimmed for the performance to begin, you knew it was going to be a great show,” said Randall Kirkpatrick, Director of Community Development for CASA for Children of Mercer and Burlington Counties. "Everyone from young children to their grandparents loved it!”
Art with a Heart: November 21, 2013
Art with a Heart, a fundraiser held on November 14 featuring the work of artists from Burlington County and the Delaware Valley, raised over $30,000 for abused and neglected children served by Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Burlington County.
The event, held at Cafe Madison in Riverside, included both live and silent auctions of the artists’ work, along with a live art demonstration by rising Philadelphia-based artist Glenn Stevens. "We are delighted with the event, our first art auction,” says Executive Director of CASA, Lori Morris. "We couldn’t have done it without the generous support of our sponsors and donations from over a dozen accomplished local artists, or our incredible live auctioneer Peter Hovnanian, of Mt. Laurel-based builder J.S. Hovnanian & Sons. He really engaged the crowd.”
